Thorncrest Village

This custom house was designed keeping its unique location in mind. The large, corner lot, though favoured with many mature trees, lacked privacy from the street exposure.

The architectural solution was to create privacy with a layout centered around a west-facing courtyard and extend the house into the garden. A country-like, informal style was planned for the exterior. Custom aged brick and a Mansard style roof with straight dormer lines give the house a fresh, sophisticated, modern ‘French Country” style.
