"I am writing this letter to express my gratitude for the beautiful
renovation that you managed for my family and me.
Our home is approximately 100 years old. Our renovation involved the
gutting of two of the three stories of our home and a small two-story
addition. The renovation took approximately six months from the initial
design stages to completion. After the demolition you found and repaired
several unexpected problems with the structural integrity (unstable
floors, rotting roofs etc.) of the house and with all of the core
functions (plumbing, electrical). I am confident that our home is
now as structurally sound as it is beautiful. The successful completion
of our renovation is due to your ability to manage large-scale construction
projects and your knowledge of construction trades in general. First
and foremost, you are an amazing project manager. You are able to
see the "big picture" and still manage the project down
to the smallest time frames and details. This was important for me
as you always kept me abreast of our renovation and gave me specific
timeframe's in which to get things done such as when to pick and order
faucets, knobs, bathtubs etc. I was confident in your ability to keep
the renovation moving and I never became overwhelmed by the numerous
choices that I had to make.
Your project management skills are enhanced by your knowledge of each
of the trades and your relationships with subcontractors. The subcontractors
always knew what they had to do when they arrived at our home and
you paid attention to the details to make sure everything was done
to our specifications and your high standards.
You are also very calm and "unflappable." As the "point
person" of a large project there are many different demands placed
upon you from the many different people, agendas, concerns and schedules
involved. My concerns were always "When will this be done?"
"How much will it cost?" "Will it look good?"
"What are my options?" and "What do you recommend?"
You always calmly answered my questions, offered alternatives and
were truthful. You did not make promises that you couldn't keep. You
also always treated each subcontractor with respect and handled any
problems with a direct approach so that small problems were managed
before they became big issues.
Last, I trusted you implicitly. We did our renovation during a time
of great stress for our family. We had started our renovation, were
selling our house, paying two mortgages, taking care of our two year
old and I had our second child in the midst of this chaos. We also
had to move out of our old home five weeks before we could move into
our new home. I left the country for five weeks to stay with my family
and left you in charge of our home and all the day-to-day decisions
relating to it. I always knew that you would make decisions that were
in our best interest.
In the best of times we would have needed your guidance through our
renovation - during the stressful period that it was - it was absolutely
essential. We thank you and can't wait to start the kitchen!"

" Everyone seems to have a story about "a contractor from
hell"; the contractor that didn't show up on time, the contractor
who left wires exposed for weeks or decided that he had enough and
just left.... Well, this isn't our experience.
We hired Custom Design Group (CDG) to renovate our basement in the
fall of 1999. Jurij and Andrew (and their sub-contractors) were excellent
to deal with and the quality of their work was outstanding.
They worked with us throughout the entire process They alerted us
to when specific projects were going to be done. They happily took
on additional work but always alerted us to the costs so there wasn't
any sticker shock at the end of the process They also took care of
the small details that we would never have gotten around to.
Hopefully, success for Divine Homes doesn't mean that they will be
too busy to renovate my living room in the spring. And, when my husband
sees the light, the bathroom in of couple of years ... the sunroom
off the kitchen ... maybe a new deck.... wouldn't mind a new garage
